Fine Foods Catering provides on the job training for all kitchen staff employed in the main kitchen.
Candidates short-listed to work with Fine Foods Catering are first tested in a fully equipped industrial kitchen. Those who pass receive further in-depth training in all aspects of the role.
These courses include classes on cooking techniques, hygiene and operating new machinery. Alongside technical classes, HACCP training is provided for individual kitchen staff members with the latest health and safety methods for food preparation.
All employees have development goals and are encouraged to take courses to refresh and further their knowledge.
All staff employed by Fine Foods Catering are provided with job orientation upon joining. New trainees are firstly informed of their key responsibilities and the goals of the company by the executive chef. All new employees joining the company are initially (for a period of 3 weeks) kept as assistant staff with qualified kitchen personal, to be trained in specific duties. Following the probation period, the staff is a fully entitled employee and their performance is reviewed periodically.
